ALAPARC Fall 2017 Meeting

Ninth Annual ALAPARC Meeting

Nov. 3-5, 2017
Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center (website)
Andalusia, Alabama

This year's meeting will be held at Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center located in Conecuh National Forest. The meeting will follow a similar format as last year with herp outings on Friday and Saturday with presentations Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening.

Note: Both registration and the abstract submission deadline have been extended to Thursday. October 26.

Abstract Submission

Poster and talk abstracts should be between 150 and 500 words, and should include the title, authors, author affiliations, and a brief description of the study. More detailed guidelines and instructions are included in the word document here. Please submit abstracts via email to by October 26. The title of your e-mail should read "ALAPARC Abstract Poster" or "ALAPARC Abstract Oral".

Registration type


There are 2 lodging options available, semi-private or dorm. Choose the lodging type/number of nights that you want, then click the "Add to Cart" button to be directed to PayPal to submit payment. If a particular lodging option is sold out, PayPal will redirect you to our homepage, without an order confirmation. If this happens, you will need to choose another option.

Descriptions of the lodging options are provided below:

  1. Semi-private rooms: 5 buildings with 4 rooms each. Each room contains 2 twin beds and 1 bath. 

    Note: If you are registering for a semi private room and would like to room with some one specific please email us at alabamaparc@gmail.com.
  2. Dorms:  Two Dorms are petitioned with 5 cubicles. Each cubicle contains 2 twin beds, each dorm shares a common bathroom.  Other 6 Dorms vary from 3-8 beds per room.
